Company Scope

Established in 2020, String Bean Ltd. is a pioneering company in designing and manufecturing acoustic devices for the violin, viola, and cello. Our mission is to make violin family better sounding instruments using pure physical means.  Our new brand, String Bean®, is recognized for the highest standards of boosting sound quality, tonal richness, and playability for violin family.  In spring of 2021, we lauched first product, "String Bean® for Strings," that has successively secured invention patents from the European Union, the United Kingdom, the U.S., China, and South Korea.  We expect that String Bean® for Strings becomes a standard accessory similar to fine tuners.  More acoustic solutions for the violin family are scheduled to enter the market in the near future, including the next generation of String Bean® for Strings and the products for bows.

Brian Lin, Ph.D

Dr. Lin obtained his Ph.D in material science and engineering from National Taiwan University.  Before joining String Bean Ltd., he acquired exclusive sales experiences, especially the working experience in LG Chem.

Chyh-Hong Chern, Ph.D

Dr. Chern obtained his Ph.D in physics from Stanford University in U.S.A..  He worked at the University of Tokyo for four years and established extensive relationships with Japan.  Before founding String Bean Ltd., he worked as a full professor in physics department at National Taiwan University for twelve years.
